Growth, productivity and protein glycosylation in a CHO EpoFc producer cell line adapted to glutamine-free growth

► The previously described process of adaptation to glutamine free growth was reproducible for an EPO-Fc producing recombinant cell line. ► The resulting cells performed well in a controlled 800 ml stirred tank batch process. ► The produced proteins were of comparable quality to those produced by the parent grown in glutamine containing media. ► Only minor effects were observed with respect to protein antennarity.
