Vanadium and alumina modified with groups I and II elements for CO2 and coke reaction under fluid catalytic cracking process

- Spent FCC catalyst was regenerated in the presence of CO2 and O2 atmospheres.
- Groups I and II elements were effective for CO2/coke reaction promotion.
- A synergetic effect between V and K was observed for CO2 and O2 activation.
- The catalyst regeneration simultaneously produces CO and mitigates CO2 emissions.
