- Pt sintering mechanism seems to depend on oxygen content of the aging atmosphere.
- Correlation between catalytic activity and catalytic surface area found for lean aging.
- New microkinetic model for CO oxidation on Pt comprising two paths for CO2 formation.
- Model is able to describe axial CO and CO2 concentration profiles during CO oxidation.
- The found correlation is used for simulation of activity change caused by lean aging.
