Enhancement of visible photocatalytic activity via Ag@C3N4 core-shell plasmonic composite

- A novel and simple synthetic approach toward core-shell Ag@C3N4 is developed.
- The Ag@C3N4 showed dramatic photocurrent response and photocatalytic activity.
- The hydrogen evolution of Ag@C3N4 was 30 times as that of C3N4.
- Improving activity is from a combination of LSPR and hybrid effects.
