Salt-templated synthesis of Ce/Al catalysts supported on mesoporous silica for acetone oxidation

- Mesoporous Ce/Al-SiO2 was prepared without using any surfactants via spray route.
- Both acidity and redox property played crucial roles in the acetone oxidation.
- High stability over 48 h on the acetone removal at 225 °C.
