Overexpression and characterization of a glycoside hydrolase family 1 enzyme from Cellulosimicrobium cellulans sp. 21 and its application for minor ginsenosides production

- A new GH1 gene ccbgl1a from C. cellulans sp. 21 was cloned and expressed in E. coli.
- Enzyme CcBgl1A was specific to β-1,2-glycosidic bond at C-3 position of ginsenosides.
- CcBgl1A was applied for one-pot preparation of ginsenoside GXVII, CO, Mb and F2.
