Enzymatic production of l-ornithine from l-arginine with recombinant thermophilic arginase

- Thermophilic arginase was firstly used to produce l-ornithine from l-arginine.
- High production (112.3 g/L) of l-ornithine was obtained.
- High average l-ornithine synthetic rate (26.2 g/L/h) was obtained.
- Transformation time was just 4 h.
