Solid state NMR characterization of phenylphosphonic acid encapsulated in SBA-15 and aminopropyl-modified SBA-15

► SBA-15 and aminopropyl-modified SBA are loaded with phenyl phosphonic acid. ► Samples are fully characterized by multinuclear solid state NMR. ► NMR experiments include 1H NMR at high magnetic field and high spinning speed. ► Phenyl phosphonic acid encapsulated in SBA-15 displays a viscous-like behavior. ► A strong interaction between phenyl phosphonic acid and aminopropyl group is evidenced.
