Efficient near-infrared quantum cutting in Ce3+-Yb3+ codoped glass for solar photovoltaic

Efficiently visible to near infrared down-conversion is realized in the Ce3+-Yb3+ co-doped system, with broad and intense excitation band. The emission light of Yb3+ matches well with the spectra response of single junction Si solar cells and can improve the photoelectric conversion efficiency.
