Can mixed species stands enhance arthropod diversity in plantation forests?

► Spider, beetle and moth diversity was compared in mixed and monoculture plantations. ► Mixed stands comprised two species with the second varying in cover from 15% to 40%. ► Mixed and monocultures were similar in arthropod assemblages and forest structure. ► Canopy species comprising <40% cover do not influence the arthropod community.
