Evaluation of harvesting methods for Sustainable Forest Management (SFM) using the Analytical Network Process (ANP)

► Three common harvesting methods were compared based on SFM guidelines using ANP method. ► Tree-length method provides the maximum benefits for forest utilization units. ► In very bad financial situation, cut-to-length method is suggested. ► The cut-to-length method seems to create more job opportunities when the emphasis on this criterion is high. ► Animal skidding is recommended in sensitive situation of topography and vegetation.
