Synthesis and electrochemical characterizations of Ce doped SnS2 anode materials for rechargeable lithium ion batteries

► Ce dope SnS2 was synthesized by a hydrothermal route. ► CeSnS2 composites exhibit 3D flowerlike structures. ► The cycling performance of CeSnS2 is better than that of SnS2. ► The Ce5 mol% compound shows the best reversible capacities and cycling performance.
