Gold losses by cementation and thermal reduction in the gold recovery circuits

►Incidental gold losses were observed during carbon-in-pulp-cyanidation. ►Losses were observed as cemented gold and as dendritic precipitates. ►Elution column along with iron bearing particles led to gold cementation onto iron. ►High temperature conditions generated dendritic gold by thermal reduction.
