Solubility and phase separation of 4-morpholinepropanesulfonic acid (MOPS), and 3-morpholino-2-hydroxypropanesulfonic acid (MOPSO) in aqueous 1,4-dioxane and ethanol solutions

► Solubilities of MOPS and MOPSO buffers in aqueous 1,4-dioxane and ethanol solutions. ► We found that MOPS-induced phase separation of aqueous solution of 1,4-dioxane. ► The phase diagram of (MOPS + water + 1,4-dioxane) system at 298.15 K is documented. ► The tie-lines within the two-liquid phase region were also determined at 298.15 K. ► The effective excluded volume theory was applied to correlate the binodal LLE data.
