Dicephalic ionic surfactants in fabrication of biocompatible nanoemulsions: Factors influencing droplet size and stability

- New designed o/w nanoemulsions were prepared by the spontaneous emulsification.
- Ionic dicephalic-type surfactants were used for the nanodroplets stabilization.
- High stability was proven by ζ-potential and no evolution in the backscattering.
- Optimized systems indicating a biocompatibility might be applied in skin products.
