Polyurethane nanocomposite films containing nano-cerium oxide as UV absorber. Part 1. Static and dynamic light scattering, small angle neutron scattering and optical studies

► Nano-cerium oxide was stabilized by phosphonated polyethylene glycol and embedded in PU coating. ► Unprecedented longevity of service life time typical of an ultraviolet absorber was shown. ► Wide UV spectrum absorption of nano-ceria embedded PU clearcoat was obtained.
