Anaerobic treatment of lignocellulosic material to co-produce methane and digested fiber for ethanol biorefining

► Co-digestion of corn stover and swine manure benefited methane/ethanol production. ► The optimal stover-to-manure ratio was 40:60 for maximizing energy output. ► 18% increase on overall net energy output was obtained from the optimal mixing ratio.
