Enhanced cellulase production by Trichoderma viride in a rotating fibrous bed bioreactor

► Cellulase production by Trichoderma viride in bioreactors was studied. ► Immobilization in fibrous bed enhanced cellulase production from sugarcane bagasse. ► Better reactor operation and control were achieved with improved biofilm morphology. ► Higher saccharification yield can be attributed to the higher FPase activity. ► Proteomics analysis showed differential expressions of cellulases (CBH and EG).
