Characterisation of the products from pyrolysis of residues after acid hydrolysis of Miscanthus

► Hydrolysis residue is used for pyrolysis to produce char, bio-oil and gas. ► Comprehensive analysis of all products was carried out and results are presented. ► Char has potential for carbon sequestration and soil conditioning. ► Bio-oil shows promise for extraction various chemicals, e.g. phenols. ► Producer gas can have application as a fuel for heat production.
