Autohydrolysis and organosolv process for recovery of hemicelluloses, phenolic compounds and lignin from grape stalks

► Recovery of hemicelluloses, phenolics and lignin from grape stalks was assessed. ► Autohydrolysis allowed for hemicelluloses recovery. ► A consistent delignification could not be achieved. ► Antioxidant compounds were recovered in the autohydrolysis liquor. ► Organosolv lignin showed good antioxidant properties.
