Biotransformation of prenyl alcohols by cultured cells of Cucurbita maxima

Prenylalcohols such as geranylgeraniol, farnesol, and geraniol were converted to prenylcarboxylic acids such as geranylgeranoic acid, farnesoic acid, and geranoic acid, respectively, by cultured cells of pumpkin, Cucurbita maxia.
