Inégalité de santé et déterminants sociaux de la santé

The issue of social inequalities in health is a key public health issue. Its inclusion is essential for a policy of effective health at different levels (national, regional and local), as well as for the implementation of programs or education action for health among the population. Health inequalities are unfair and avoidable causes of health problems that face the people, within a country or from different countries, are not on an equal footing. These health inequalities are a reflection of inequalities that can be observed in general in society and among different societies. The socioeconomic conditions in which people find themselves determine the risk of illness and what to do to prevent or treat illness when it occurs. This document is intended to give an overall view of the issue of social inequalities in health and its determinants.
