A Fiber-optic Sensor Based on Plasmon Coupling Effects in Gold Nanoparticles Core-satellites Nanostructure for Determination of Mercury Ions (II)

A localized surface plasmon resonance (LSPR) optical fiber sensor was developed for Hg2+ detection based on the gold nanoparticles core-satellites nanostructure and the T-Hg2+-T base mismatch. The advantages of this sensor including label-free, small size and easy integration made it suitable for miniaturized, portable detecting system.
