Determination of Phthalic Acid Esters in Seawater and Sediment by Solid-phase Microextraction and Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry

Water samples were extracted by solid phase micro extraction. After the extraction, the probe was thermally desorbed in the GC-MS injection port. Sediment samples were freeze dried, ground and dust samples were ultrasonicated with dichloromethane. The extracts were concentrated and then further purified in the CS-SPE column and then evaporated to near dryness under gentle nitrogen flow before analysis.
