4-Methyl-7-hydroxycoumarin antifungal and antioxidant activity enhancement by substitution with thiosemicarbazide and thiazolidinone moieties

► New coumarinyl thiosemicarbazides and thiazolidinones were synthesized. ► Thiosemicarbazides showed higher antioxidant activity than 4-thiazolidinones. ► Coumarin derivatives showed very high antifungal activity. ► 4-Thiazolidinones showed better antifungal activity than thiosemicarbazides. ► Correlation coefficients between different antioxidant assays were determined.
