Determination of pterins in urine by HPLC with UV and fluorescent detection using different types of chromatographic stationary phases (HILIC, RP C8, RP C18)

- We examined retention of pterin in RP and HILIC HPLC modes.
- Proposed methods allowed for pterin compounds separation in HILIC and RP modes.
- The RP HPLC method allowed to determine 7 pterins in urine samples.
- Urine samples from bladder cancer patients and healthy volunteers were analyzed.
- A relationship between pterin concentration and bladder cancer is possible.
