Intra-individual variation of GH-dependent markers in athletes: Comparison of population based and individual thresholds for detection of GH abuse in sports

- The GH-2000 scores were calculated using discriminant functions.
- The variations of IGF-I, PIIINP and the GH-2000 score are mostly moderate.
- Some athletes reveal stronger fluctuations both in IGF-I and PIIINP.
- Individual thresholds would be lower than population based ones in most cases.
