Pathologie moléculaire tumorale : Ã propos du génotypage de KRAS dans les carcinomes colorectaux

Molecular Pathology (MP) is an emerging branch of pathology. Its development has been facilitated by the proximity and cooperation between genetic labs and pathology departments. Indeed, the success of such molecular technical transfers has been linked to the strong interaction between pathologists and molecular biologists: the former are expert in both tissue conservation and identification, and the latter in the use of molecular tools. Recently, KRAS genotyping in very frequent tumors (i.e. metastatic colorectal carcinomas) revealed the importance and indispensable use of MP in the daily practice of Pathology.
