Physiopathologie des toxidermies médicamenteuses : contribution des lymphocytes T CD4+ et CD8+

Delayed drug hypersensitivity reactions are frequent and involved drug specific T cells. Cutaneous adverse drug reaction comprise several clinical entities ranging from the rare and severe bullous reactions as Lyell reaction to the frequent maculo-papular exanthema. Cutaneous adverse drug reaction pathophysiology is not clear. CD4 and CD8 T lymphocytes involvement is still under discussion, but recent studies show CD8 cytotoxic T lymphocytes as major actors in these reactions. Improvement in delayed hypersensitivity reaction mechanisms knowledge would allow the development of new immunologic tests for their diagnosis.
