Biopolymer capped silver nanoparticles as fluorophore for ultrasensitive and selective determination of malathion

Chitosan capped silver nanoparticles (Chi-AgNPs) were used as fluorophore to determine malathion by spectrofluorimetry. The detection limit of 94 fM L−1 malathion was achieved for the first time using Chi-AgNPs in an aqueous medium.
