Cross injection analysis: Concept and operation for simultaneous injection of sample and reagents in flow analysis

► A new flow injection strategy was developed with crossing cylindrical channels. ► Sample and reagents are simultaneously aspirated. ► Cross-flow was used in both x- and y-channels to introduce and premix sample and reagents. ► Utilization of multi-channel peristaltic pump can replace use of solenoid valves. ► Demonstration of quantitative analysis of iron (II) and iron (III) was successful.
