Voltammetric and electrochemical gravimetric selective detection of interactions between Tl(I) and guanine and the influence on activity of DNA drug-intercalators

► Voltammetric experiments allowed selective examination and determination of binding constant of Tl(I) with guanine N-7 in DNA. ► The presence of Tl(I) depresses the activity of doxorubicine vs. DNA. ► Tl(I) itself does not damage DNA nor changes its conformation. ► ROS drastically increase the damaging activity of Tl(I).
