Signal-to-noise ratio enhancement of the compact light-emitting diode-induced fluorescence detector

► SNR of the compact LED-FD was improved five times. ► Four key parameters' effects on SNR were further investigated and optimized. ► Theoretical analysis and experimental result were well matched. ► LOD of 0.15 nM achieved was next to the lowest among literatures.
