Preparation and characterization of neutral poly(ethylene glycol) methacrylate-based monolith for normal phase liquid chromatography

► A porous hydrophilic poly(ethylene glycol) methacrylate-based monolithic column was prepared and characterized. ► The PEG-functionalized monolith as a novel stationary phase for normal phase liquid chromatography. ► Comparable retentivity to silica-based media or comparable efficiency to other polymer monolithic media. ► Its dual retention capability makes the various chromatographic modes possible.
