Head space voltammetry: A novel voltammetric method for volatile organics and a case study for phenol

► Voltammetry was combined with the advantages of head space sampling. ► Detection limit for phenol was improved with HS accumulation. ► The interference of non-volatile components was eliminated by HS sampling. ► Phenol and 2,4-dichlorophenol can be determined simultaneously by this means.
