Application of a new capillary electrophoretic method for the determination of carbohydrates in forensic, pharmaceutical, and beverage samples

► A new CZE method for neutral underivatized carbohydrates with direct UV detection was validated. ► No significant matrix effect was observed with various matrices (soil, cloth, plastic, wine etc.). ► Analyses in post-explosion residues, cough syrup and beverages were successfully done.
