Polymer modified glassy carbon electrode for the electrochemical determination of caffeine in coffee

► Fabrication of the polymer is extremely easy. ► The lower limit of the linear range and the LoD obtained are lower than the results in the previously reported works on caffeine. ► The developed method showed excellent recoveries. ► Determination of caffeine in real coffee extract samples was not affected by sample matrices and by structurally similar spiked alkaloids.
