Carbon nanodots sensitized chemiluminescence on peroxomonosulfate-sulfite-hydrochloric acid system and its analytical applications

► New water-soluble fluorescent C-dots were synthesized from glycine. ► A PSHA chemiluminescence system was reported for the first time. ► New C-dots had great sensitization enhancement effects on PSHA CL system. ► Enhancement originated from energy and electron-transfer annihilation effects. ► CL system was successfully applied to analysis of amines in real samples.
