Determination of biodiesel content in biodiesel/diesel blends using NIR and visible spectroscopy with variable selection

► We propose Multiple Linear Regression model to determine biodiesel content in diesel. ► We utilize spectral ranges near infrared and visible. ► The selection of variables was Successive Projections Algorithm. ► In the near-infrared were selected only two wavelengths and visible three wavelengths. ► The results indicate potential to quantify biodiesel in blends biodiesel/diesel.
