The new approach for captopril detection employing triangular gold nanoparticles-catalyzed luminol chemiluminescence

► A novel CL method for the determination of captopril using triangular AuNPs-luminol is developed. ► The triangular AuNPs were easier to synthesize, stable at a wider pH range and high ionic strength. ► The triangular AuNPs exhibited high selectivity and sensitivity toward captopril. ► The proposed method has been validated by determining captopril in real samples.
