SPE biosensor for cholesterol in serum samples based on electrochemiluminescent luminol copolymer

► In this study we prepare an electrochemiluminescent biosensor for cholesterol. ► A poly(luminol-TMB) electro-formed on screen-printed cell greatly improves the ECL. ► The biosensor was applied to the determination of total cholesterol in serum samples. ► The disposable biosensor offers an easy procedure for free or total cholesterol.
