Creep strength of nickel oxide/zirconia composites under different environmental atmospheres

► Fabrication of NiO/cubic zirconia and NiO/tetragonal zirconia with different NiO contents. ► Creep strength is independent of oxygen partial pressure. ► Reoxidation upon reduction does not modify the creep strength. ► Second reduction decreases strongly the mechanical resistance.
