Reactions of a tetranuclear Pt-thiosemicarbazone complex with model proteins

The tetranuclear cytotoxic Pt complex reactivity study toward model proteins allows initial identification of lysozyme adducts formation and characterization by mass spectrometry and crystallographic determination. Selected features of the interactions observed were reproduced by reacting the Pt complex with N-methylimidazole. One possible pathway indicates its activation through cluster disassembly.125
