Synthesis of Mn2+ doped ZnS quantum dots/ZIF-8 composite and its applications as a fluorescent probe for sensing Co2+ and dichromate

A new hybrid material was first proposed which combined Mn2+: ZnS quantum dots and ZIF-8. This material was regarded as a sensitive sensor for Co2+ and dichromate detection with a colour change turned from orange red to colourless. What's more, it first presented that the skeleton of MOF can be used to prevent agglomeration of quantum dots.154
