Mixed SAMs and MALDI-ToF MS: Preparation of N-glycosylamine derivative and thioctic acid methyl ester bearing 1,2-dithiolane groups and detection of enzymatic reaction on Au

► 1,2-Dithiolane-based compounds 4 and 5 were prepared for co-immobilization on Au. ► New system of mixed SAMs enabled enzymatic galactosylation reaction to occur. ► Detection of enzymatic activity was achieved by mass spectrometry.
