Virus adsorption of water-stable quaternized chitosan nanofibers

- Quaternary amine (HTCC)/PVA nanofibers have been electrospun.
- Glutaraldehyde crosslinking was used to impart water stability to the fibers.
- Nanofibers had a maximum swelling of 30% after crosslinking.
- Virus removal was achieved for an enveloped and nonenveloped virus.
