Sr1-xGdxTiO3-δ(x = 0, 0.05, 0.1, 0.15, 0.2) ceramics were prepared by hot-pressing process in vacuum successfully for electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding applications. The microstructure, phase composition, compensation mechanism, electrical conductivity and EMI properties were analyzed respectively. The result shows that there are oxygen vacancies in Sr1-xGdxTiO3-δ ceramics. What's more, with the Gd doping content increased the concentration of oxygen vacancy decreases. EMI result shows total EMI shielding effectiveness (SE) SEtotal of all the Sr1-xGdxTiO3-δ ceramics is greater than 21 dB in the whole frequency range of 8.2-12.4 GHz with a 1.5 mm thickness, which suggests that the Sr1-xGdxTiO3-δ ceramics could be good candidates for EMI shielding materials in the measured frequency region.
