Optical and magnetic properties of solid solutions of In2−xMnxO3 (0.05, 0.10 and 0.15) nanoparticles

► Monophasic Mn-doped In2O3 nanoparticles by solvothermal method for first time. ► Plausible reaction mechanism and kinetics study using thermogravimetric analysis. ► Highest surface area obtained so far as compared to the literature report. ► Particle size decreases with increasing Mn concentration. ► High degree of optical transparency (∼95%) is observed.
