EPR properties of some new cadmium and rare-earth molybdates, molybdato-tungstates and their solid solutions

► Some new molybdato-tungstates of rare earths were synthesized and investigated. ► EPR and XRD of the obtained phases revealed scheelite-like structures. ► Rare-earths ions enter at axial symmetry sites convenient for phosphors or lasers.
