Comparative study of different analytical methods for the determination of 238U, 234U, 235U, 230Th and 232Th in NORM samples (Southern Catalonia)

► Different methodologies to determine uranium and thorium activities were compared. ► Sludge samples from an area close to a DCP plant were analyzed at different depths. ► Coal and phosphate samples from storage area in Tarragona Harbour were analyzed. ► The industrial activity in the DCP plant enhances the radioactive levels.
